Home And Play On The Range

Swing

Busy busy time these past few weeks but getting good at finding moments to refuel. There is an element of The Prairie where time stands still. And somehow in that stillness it is easy to be productive.

step

I find when I visit places that have history, quietly tucked away, that I feel safe. I think its knowing life has trodden paths before me.

companycar

500,000 miles on the clock. maybe out of warranty but what stories it could tell.

prairiesign

One of these days it will get repaired, but until then its a good leaner.

Without even trying I seem to be starting my own little flea market........after years of being the seeker, treasures are now coming to me. How novel.

treasures

So special that I have a place in the world where I can work, play, and be quiet with friends, family and just people passing through.

And all the little details made it here too.

teatime

Even with such a balanced life sometimes bad dreams slip in.....and then .........

On top of all else we pulled of a photo shoot so we can share some photos of all that goes on......including a wedding!!!!!

And then finally I found a home for my precious arch I lugged back from London.

  10. I was in the field the other day and I saw the most incredible cupboard and of course it said sold and it had your name on it. Which then lead me directly out to the ranch. It's beautiful Rachel. You are living my dream and I am so happy for you. Wishing you happy finds this week and only the best. Your friend.

  11. Just wish I lived closer and could be there........and I will some day. Everything looks fabulous, just like in the city shops, but even fresher in the country setting. Instead of longing to return to see all the pretties in NY store, I'm going to have to head to Texas asap!

Rachel, you continue to be an inspiration thank you. Love the new UJ wall hanging.

  13. I really do love your version of a dream catcher...it's so pretty! You should also try using pale pink or pale blue ostrich plumes. They end up looking just a tad more opulent and girly but SO very shabby and chic. I also think the pealing white paint on your Prairie store is gorgeous! Kudos to you for leaving it as is and not painting it...very nice!

    Love ya'

  14. So much inspiration over here, you fuel my dreams! So glad you have this blog for us to enjoy, many thanks for that. And I never even knew I was the type of gal to crave a vintage truck, but that stepside is gorgeous already! ~Lili

  17. What a great post - I want to come sit in that swing and take a time out! I am trying to find a list of all seven of your books. At least I now know there are seven - no one seems to even know that in any of the places I have checked. I found a a set of three at a recent estate sale and I am HOOKED!! I want to own them all and will be eagerly awaiting the release of the newest one in October. Can you simply send me a list of the other seven by title or somehow to be able to find them all please. I know I have three, but I don't know where they are in the line of books. Thanks so much!
