  2. Hi Rachael -
    Congrats on your latest acquisition!

It looks like a real gem, and I can see how completely shabby chic it will be.

Will the new Inn be open to the public? It is a DREAM of mine to also buy an Inn and make it over shabby chic, and this is from someone living in Jamaica -- but the hotel I run now has aspects of shabby chic in it, and our guests love that...so I know your Inn will be a HIT!

Cannot wait to see the finished product and the rates when you have them!

    Best of luck and success,

    J. Tribley

The ones you are keeping are gorgeous, and I know the changes you make to the property will be stunning, like everything else you do. I just blogged yesterday about how you have influenced my decorating of our home. Now I am off to see your new website for your latest endeavor. Best of luck to you!

  13. More wonderful inspiration for me!
    And ideas! Thank-you for sharing.
I am a fan from way back when you
    had a half-hour cable TV show. I
taped most every one of your shows
on a VCR tape when it went into re-runs and I sent the tape to my sick
friend in Fallbrook, California and she shared it with her daughter and her daughter started
    making quilts.It's amazing your influence.

  32. What a beautiful 'find' your newest project is! I love that you are always inspired on to the next project. Just thinking the other day about how so many of us women are like little girls playing 'house' decorating and fluffing our little nests... It's so fulfilling. Thank you for your lovely influences.

You are such an amazing person, so prolific!

I thought you might be interested to know about the amazing and beautiful natural fairy houses that I make to possibly use in your shops or at the bed and breakfast! People are so awestruck by them; they would be perfect for you businesses! You can see them at:

    www.sunflowerhouse.etsy.com

Hope you'll visit my shop and see them; I really think you will be astonished by how unusual they are!

Thank you for always being so inspirational and innovative!

  55. Rachael – I am so in love and inspired by the way you create an atmosphere of a home or room that is so simple but elegant. I just looked at your blog for the first time –though I have looked at the decorating pictures a thousand times and when I read it made me just love your work even more. I am a kindred spirit to you in the sense that my everyday attire is boots and jeans although living in Texas sometimes it is cut off jeans and bare foot. Your work brings the outdoors in and is a reflection of simple but warm and welcoming in spirit, I am so trying to accomplish that for my home. I love simply shabby chic line at Target and it is great for a tight budget. I would like to say if you ever have a desire to do a room makeover or home make over I would love to extend an offer hah, I am sure you get that all the time. Just so you know I live in the oldest town of Texas (Nacogdoches) and we are known for great antique shops. On a more serious note I really enjoy getting inspired by your pictures and think that this bed and breakfast is such a neat thing, I am so happy for you. You have a gift and you are so good at what you do.

  59. We met at the last Round Top show when you were at the Junk Gypsy's tent signing books... you were sweet and gracious, and you spoke with my husband about flying.... he's a pilot, and you asked him a few things.

I am so excited about your new Prairie endeavor. Hope to see you out and about at the Spring show.

  61. Just love it, Rachel. I can't wait to see more. I have also been a fan for many years. Love watching what you do. I had a Bed & Breakfast in a 100 year old farmhouse on the San Juan Island of Friday Harbor for a short time. It was a wonderful fun way of life. It was there, at that time, that I discovered you.
Good luck with your newest venture!
