One of your comments reminds me of one I read years ago during a particularly dark time in my life: "It was as if her life were a watercolor painting, left out in the rain. All of the color had simply washed away, leaving nothing but bleakness behind." Luanne Rice wrote that in the book 'Home Fires', and it brought me to tears as I realized that it perfectly described my life, my world, my soul. I was no longer an artist, and it was killing me.
The dawn came, of course, and the color in my life and soul were not just restored, but abundantly saturated. It IS all about faith...in ourselves, in our vision, in our creative power, and in how we got that in the first place. Through the journey, faith keeps us on course.
A very Merry Christmas and Fulfilling New Year to you and your family, Rachel...
So beautifully said .. This really touched my heart. Life's trials in recent years have truly revealed an inner strength and a faith that I didn't know I had. I have slowly learned to cease resisting and to look for the 'gifts' in each of life's adversities .. the understanding, the knowing, the refining. Incomparable gifts. I, too, see the oh-so-refreshing blank canvas ahead, and there is a new-found anticipation as never before .. the color is just beginning to appear .. My Best To You, along with Heartfelt Thanks~ Sweet Sage
